The New Breed Arts and Activism Network is a multiracial group of creatives dedicated to empowering struggling artists and activists as well as dismantling fear, racism, sexism, white supremacy and the heteropatriarchy through shared storytelling, relationship building, personal transformation and political action.
Building upon a call to action found in a Prince song and the work of other creative revolutionaries, the movement was founded to heal, save and change a world that is on the brink of its own destruction by promoting community, intimacy, empowerment and liberation.
The New Breed was founded as a private membership organization in Westchester County, New York in the summer of 2020. Membership is currently open to all U.S. residents over the age of 17 – but prospective members must be approved by Network Directors after filling out an online application.
The philosophical foundation of the New Breed consists of 24 founding principles, divided into three different groups of eight:
The principles are detailed further in the New Breed Credo, describing the mission, work and philosophy of the organization in three sentences.
The Credo serves the basis of the New Breed Love Manifesto entitled “Stand Up! Organize!” The Manifesto expands upon the 24 principles of the movement in three sections: Creation, Change and Spirit.
The Manifesto is currently available for purchase on the Amazon Kindle store (see below).
All new members of the New Breed get free access to our Manifesto upon joining the network.
